On November 6–7, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Skopje, the Third Macedonian Roads Congress 2025 took place, one of the most significant professional events in the field of road infrastructure in the country and the region. BIM AD Sveti Nikole participated as a platinum sponsor, reaffirming its strategic commitment to continuously contribute to road construction.
The congress was organized by the Macedonian Association of Road Engineers (MARE). BIM AD Sveti Nikole has maintained a long-term and successful cooperation with MARE since its establishment.
On November 7, 2025, within the framework of the Third Macedonian Roads Congress, a scientific paper titled “Polymer-Modified Bitumen Emulsion (PMBE) Compared to Classical Bitumen Emulsion” was presented by Ljubomir Trajchev, M.Arch., Application Engineer at BIM AD. The paper was authored by Ljubomir Trajchev, M.Arch, and Stojanche Stojanov, BSc.Eng.Ttech
Stojanche Stojanov, BSc.Eng.Tech. also co-authored another scientific paper titled “Innovative Method for Using Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) with High-Strength Modifiers”.
Mr. Stojanche Stojanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIM AD Sveti Nikole, is featured in the monograph “Top 500 Leading Contributors to the Development of Sustainable Entrepreneurship and New Economies in Central and Southeastern Europe 2014–2024,” published in 2025. He is recognized as one of the most prominent entrepreneurs in the region.

The monograph was presented at the World Congress for Entrepreneur Slovenia 2025, held from October 15–19, 2025, in Ljubljana and Rogaska Slatina, Slovenia.
From September 24 to 27, 2025, the 21st International DGKM/MASE Symposium took place in Ohrid, one of the most important events for the construction industry in North Macedonia.
BIM AD Sveti Nikole participated as a bronze sponsor, reaffirming its ongoing contribution to the development of the construction sector.
Mr. Stojanche Stojanov, Chairman of the Board of BIM AD Sveti Nikole, was featured in the monograph on the key figures and events that marked the last 25 years, in the book titled “100 Years of Experience,” published by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Macedonia.
With the acquisition of a Polymer-Modified Bitumen (PMB) plant from the renowned Italian manufacturer MASSENZA and a bitumen emulsion plant, BIM AD Sveti Nikole has increased its existing production capacity for PMB and bitumen emulsion.
At the Elective Assembly of the Macedonian Association of Road Engineers (MARE), held in December 2021, Mr. Stojanche Stojanov, BSc. Eng. Tech, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIM AD Sveti Nikole, was elected Vice President of the Macedonian Association of Road Engineers (MARE).
On May 17, 2019, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, the Roads Association of Macedonia, in cooperation with the Public Enterprise for State Roads of R. Macedonia, and supported by Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and the Faculty of Civil Engineering at UKIM, held a presentation of the international scientific project: “Application of PMB in Binding Asphalt Layers of Pavement Structures for Heavily Trafficked Roads and Highways.”
In addition to domestic companies BIM AD Sveti Nikole and GD Granit AD Skopje, the project involved the American company DOW and the Czech Technical University in Prague. The presentation was attended by 150 professionals from domestic and international companies in the road construction sector. Speeches were delivered by: Prof. Dr. Goran Mijoski, President of the Macedonian Association of Road Engineers (MARE), Dr. Eng. Petko Krstev, Head of DAU for Europe, Middle East, and Africa markets, Prof. Dr. Darko Moslavac, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Skopje, Prof. Dr. Nikola Jankulovski, Rector of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Skopje, Mr. Zoran Kitanov, LL.B, Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads, Mr. Goran Sugareski, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Government of Macedonia. Presentations related to the international scientific project were given by: Joseph Hamacek (Regional Representative, CIE Infrastructure, DAU Europe), Various technologies for bitumen modification, Prof. Dr. Otokar Vacin (Czech Technical University – Prague, Global Representative for Applied Technologies, DAU Europe), Polymer-modified bitumens with elastomeric thermopolymers and their blends with other polymers, Dr. Eng. Petko Krstev (EMEA Infrastructure Development Manager, DAU Europe), Comparison of different asphalt mixtures with PMB installed on the experimental section of the A1 highway, Prof. Dr. Goran Mijoski (Faculty of Civil Engineering – Skopje), Presentation of the results from the tests on the pavement surface characteristics.
Mr. Stojanche Stojanov, long-time director and current chairman of the Board of Directors of BIM AD Sveti Nikole, received the prestigious grand award “Creator of the Century” for lifetime achievement in entrepreneurship with a Gold honor – award for 2018 at the 6th Regional Summit of Entrepreneurs of Central and Southeastern Europe – 300 BEST, held from march 22–24, 2019, in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The award recognizes his personal contribution and success in developing entrepreneurship.
The award was granted in competition with 363 entrepreneurs from Austria, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Serbia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland. It represents the highest honor presented at this event.
On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Macedonian Association of Road Engineers (MARE). awarded a Gold Plaque to BIM AD Sveti Nikole in recognition of its contribution to the development of technologies for road construction materials in the Republic of Macedonia.
BIM AD Sveti Nikole certified its products in accordance with European standards and obtained the right for their use within the European Union. The certification was carried out by the European Notified Body “NISI.”
